01 reactive by nature
Nothing here is a video file.
Most visuals at a show are finished before the show starts: loops rendered out of After Effects or Blender, clips triggered in sequence. They look the same on the third play as the first, and they do not care what the room is doing.
Every cueVJ visual is drawn frame by frame from what the music is doing right now. There is no clip to trigger, so the same scene never plays twice, and it is always in time because it is listening rather than following a timeline.
02 the instrument
The scroll is the instrument.
You just felt it. Scrolling this page scrubbed the visual behind it, and that is the same single gesture that drives the whole playground. One motion moves through every scene, which is why cueVJ feels like performing rather than watching.
It listens
Your mic becomes a signal: energy, bass, mid, treble, beat. Nothing is recorded, nothing leaves the browser.
You steer
Scrolling scrubs the scenes. That one gesture is the whole instrument.
It draws
Generative scenes rendered as pure SVG, live, razor sharp at any size.
03 why i built it
I removed the install, then the manual.
I spent more than a decade building enterprise software, and a deep love for music pulled me sideways into visuals, including work at venue scale on the Sphere in Las Vegas. TouchDesigner, Resolume, and Notch came with it. Those tools are extraordinary, and cueVJ is not trying to replace them.
But every one of them asks the same thing first: weeks of learning before you make anything worth showing. I wanted the opposite. A musician, a DJ, or anyone playing a track in their kitchen should have real reactive visuals in about five seconds, built on the one thing everyone already has open. The browser is what makes it plug and play.
04 studio
Build your own.
The playground performs the scenes I wrote. Studio lets you compose your own, by hand or by describing them to Cue, the AI built in. Either way it comes out reactive, and you perform it from the browser.
05 enter
Open it. Let it hear the room.
That is the whole setup. Let it listen, scroll to move, and you are already performing.
